An Historic Building with a New Mission

Have you driven by Upper Mountain Street (just past the Camden Public Library) and been curious about the construction site there? Or perhaps you’ve heard that Bay Chamber is moving its music school to Camden. It’s true—one of Camden’s historic, iconic buildings (most recently called High Mountain Hall) will be lovingly renovated and expanded for your musical enjoyment. When completed, the new Bixler Music Center will be a fully accessible 7,769 square foot building including a concert hall, ample teaching and office space, and, parking! To learn how your name and/or that of a loved one can be enshrined in the building, read our case statement below or contact Josie Davis (josie@baychamber.org).

You Can Be Part of The Project!

With the transformative generosity of a close circle of donors and friends, Bay Chamber has raised $7 Million toward our $8 Million campaign goal. The sum includes funds for building acquisition, expansion, renovation, operations, and program support. We are now turning to you to help us raise the final $1 Million. Our campaign for a new home represents an investment in our community, in the Midcoast, and in the State of Maine.
