Envision Chamber Music Workshop | AUGUST 5-9, 2024

The Envision Chamber Music Workshop is a week-long immersive chamber music experience that includes three hours of rehearsal and coaching each day balanced with time for other musical workshops and outdoor activities. This five-day program is open to string and piano individual applicants. Interested wind, brass and vocal students should inquire about submitting an application before applying. Students should be between the ages of 9-18, though exceptions may be made on a case-by-case basis. In addition to regular chamber music coaching, age-appropriate group activities will be integrated into the week. Past workshops have included theater, art-making, mindfulness, eurythmics and more. The week culminates in a final concert for friends and family. The goal of the Envision Chamber Music Workshop is to celebrate the joy of music-making in a supportive environment that inspires musical and personal growth.

“Bay Chamber has deepened my understanding of music, forever changing the way I play and listen to it. Coming into Envision for the first time, I had little appreciation for classical music. The program dramatically changed my attitude with the generous support from both students and coaches alike, as well as the unexpectedly beautiful music for kids as young as us. In the face of the endless and chaotic noise of everyday life, the people at Envision taught me how to create a more refined sound to overcome that. They did this through meticulous yet engaging coaching, as well as inspirational masterclasses. Most importantly, what I understood at the end of the week was that the music didn't exist without the people - the musicians and the music listeners.”
